Kidco Early Head Start

Kidco Early Head Start works with families to support parent-child relationships because parents are the most important teachers of their children. We plan home or center activities with families which support their child’s learning and development. We work with families, too, to provide information and referrals to other community services.

Who do we serve?

Pregnant women and infants and toddlers and their families in Albany, Sweet Home and Corvallis, who are eligible because they are:
• Families with limited incomes
• Families who have children with special needs

What do we offer?

Home-Based Option for pregnant women and children who are newborns through 36 months old:
• Weekly home visits
• Play groups 2 times a month
• Family support, health and nutrition information and referrals

Center-Based Option for parents and children who are 6 weeks through 30 months old:
• Childcare for your baby
• Family support, health and nutrition information and referrals

Sweet Home – Sweet Home High School Center is for infants and toddlers of high school and GED students.
• Open 7:30-3:30 on school days. During summer, home visits only.

Albany – Linn Benton Community College Center is for infants and toddlers of LBCC students.
• Open 7:45-5:15 during school terms. During summer, home visits only.

Corvallis – Old Mill Center Program is for families preparing for employment and moving toward self-sufficiency.
• Children come to the center 3 days a week for 3 hours and families receive 2 home visits a month
