The 8th Annual Baby Blast is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 1-3:00pm at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.  This is a wonderful event that allows new parents to meet and learn about the agencies in Linn County that are there to serve them and their new family.  Past agencies who have attended Baby Blast include Linn-Benton Community College (Pollywog Program, the Parenting Success Network, Family Connections, and the Parenting Education Department), as well as the Lebanon Fire Department (demonstrating correct installation of baby seats), Early Intervention, WIC, the Lebanon Library, several different pediatric dental groups, pediatricians and nurses from Samaritan Lebanon Hospital and surrounding facilities, and many others.  Light refreshments will be served, and there will be drawings for prizes throughout the event.  Please plan on attending!

May Speaking Event – Save the Date!!

On Monday, May 18, 2020, the Parenting Success Network will hold the 7th Annual Speaking Event with Dr. Chandra Gosh Ippen as the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Ippen is the Associate Director of the Child Trauma Research Program, University of California, San Francisco. She will be presenting her research on trauma and diversity-informed practice. We love that she is a children’s book author and creates videos for children to understand stress and trauma through Piplo Productions. Dr. Ippen will be speaking to the parents of Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties at the Corvallis High School Theater, from 6-8:00 pm. We have been the lucky recipient of conference speakers from the OSU Conference for the last several years, and they have always delivered informative and down-to-earth information to parents. Please plan on attending! More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the event.
