Building Black Pride: Infancy through Adolescence

This one-time workshop will discuss the Positive Communication efforts and affirming positive affirmations around being Black. Topics include African Heritage, Courage/Achievements of African People, Strengths of Black Families, and Unique Black Customs and Language. In this workshop we will also discuss how to avoid Black Put-Downs and Help Children Understand and Cope with Racism.

*FREE* for families with children of all ages

Terrance I Harris, M.Ed has over 10 years of experience as a Higher Ed professional along with 8 years of experience as a peer educator, parent coach, and tobacco cessation specialist. He instructs parenting courses for Linn & Benton Counties and is certified through the Effective Black Parenting program.
